The Risk and Reward of Vulnerability
Taking the first step to address relational rifts, estrangement and conflicts is a courageous act. It requires you to risk exposing your pain to the very people you feel are responsible, opening the door to potential blame, escalation, or continued impasse.
The origins of these disconnects can be long-standing, with tensions building over many years until they feel normal. Other times, the break in connection can feel sudden, leaving behind a wake of anger and resentment. Regardless of how you got here, the pain and sadness are real.
Though pursuing therapy together is a high-risk step, the potential for life-changing impact is immense. While the decision to take that risk is yours, I am committed to creating a safe space with clear boundaries. I can’t change the past, but by fostering a deeper understanding of yourselves and each other, a revised, more nuanced story can emerge. My role is to help you build a framework where honesty, vulnerability, and the possibility of forgiveness and reconciliation can flourish.
